5/30/2009 - Skipper's Meeting and Open House

The most popular club activity is the Wednesday night race series, which attracted 35 yachts last year. We hope to see at least that many racers again this year.
Existing and prospective members are invited to meet with Flag officers of the MYC, to discuss race procedures, changes in racing rules, MYC course marks and other subjects of interests to racers.

3:30 PM - Skipper's Meeting
The Race Committee will hold its annual Skipper's Meeting in the clubhouse.

All racers intending to participate in any MYC sponsored event are urged to attend.
The proposed agenda is as follows:

1 Review of changes in the 2009-2012 racing rules

2 Review of Starting sequence, course suggestions

3 Scheduling of protest meetings

4 Staffing of Committee Boat

5 Race communications

6 Other issues, questions from racers

If anyone has any questions and/or suggestions to be incorporated in the 2009 racing season, now is the time to bring them forward for discussion and action. Decisions will be made at this meeting that will affect the summer series. Racers' participation and opinions will have a direct affect on these decisions.
