MYC NOTICE OF RACE 2009
1. RULES
The Wednesday Night Series will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing 2009-2011 Rules
1.2 Rules of each class.

2. ELIGIBILITY and ENTRY
The series is open to boats of the 2009 PHRF Rating
The series is open to boats of the Portsmouth Number Rating.
3. FEES
Required fees are as follows
Series Member Non Member
July $55.00 $75.00
August $55.00 $75.00
Late fee (if received after 6/10/09) $10.00
4. DATES of RACING
4.1 July Series -- June 17, June 24, July 01, July 9, July 15, and July 22
4.2 August Series-July 29, Aug. 5, Aug. 12, Aug. 19, Aug. 26 and
Sept. 02
5. MEASUREMENTS
Each PHRF boat shall produce a valid 2009 rating certificate.
6. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The sailing instructions will be available at the yacht club and/or online by June 10
7. PENALTY SYSTEM
Taking a Two- Turn Penalty in compliance with 44.2
Taking a scoring penalty in compliance with RRS 44.3. The penalty shall not be less than 2 places.
8. SCORING
Month series
a. Will be scored using the Low Point System (RRS A4)
b. When 4 or less races have been completed a boats score will be the total of her race scores
c. When 5 races have been completed, a boats series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.
d. When 6 races have been completed, a boat series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her two worst scores.
The Summer Series
a. Will be the total of all races in July and August series.
b. When 8 or less races have been completed a boats score will be the total of her race scores.
c. When 9 races have been completed a boats score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst race.
d. When 10 or more races have been completed a boats score will be the total of her race scores excluding her two worst races.
