The Mattapoisett Yacht Club, founded in 1901, has a long history of hosting organized racing and cruising events in Mattapoisett Harbor and on Buzzards Bay. Today the Club maintains the tradition of hosting a full schedule of events. At MYC the emphasis is on sailing. Our dues are kept low to encourage participation. Our racing is kept informal to be inviting to beginners, while offering lively competition for all, including seasoned sailors. The clubhouse is located at the Mattapoisett Boatyard at 32 Ned’s Point Road. Our seasonal clubhouse, expected to open in the spring of 2025, is part of the new Boatyard building. The clubhouse is open to membership from May 1 through Oct 31. However, many clubhouse events are hosted throughout the winter and can be found on the calendar web page.
Over the past few years our Cruising Members, including Sail and Power Cruisers, have scheduled numerous outings and are always looking for new members and destinations. The MYC is an all-volunteer organization. An Advisory Board meets throughout the year to develop club activities. 2026 MYC Flag Officers |
