Mattapoisett Yacht Club 2025 Racing

JUNE 7
THE SPRING ROUND THE BAY RACE is a "pursuit start" PHRF Handicap race for Spinnaker and Non-Spinnaker Classes.  The course begins and finishes outside of Mattapoisett Harbor.
JUNE 3 -
​ AUG 27
​TUESDAY NIGHT SERIES (JUNE, JULY&AUG) are one-design races for the Ensign class and the 420 class.  We run multiple races on windward leeward courses, weather permitting.  These races offer the close competition that only one-design racing can provide.

​​WEDNESDAY NIGHT SERIES (JUNE, JULY & AUG) are handicap races for PHRF cruising boats and for daysailers using the "Portsmouth Yardstick."  Cruising boats must have a valid PHRF Certificate.  Cruising boats are divided into two or more classes based on PHRF ratings.  Racers gather at the club after the races for awards presentations, food & drink BYO.
SEPT 3
THE MYC PHOENIX CUP caps off the season of Wednesday Night Racing.  It is open to all MYC boats with a PHRF rating.  There is no registration or fee required.
SEPT 13
THE FALL ROUND THE BAY RACE will have one start for the Spinnaker Class and one start for the Non-Spinnaker Class rather than the staggered "Pursuit" start that was used in the Spring Round-the-Bay Race.  The course begins and finishes outside of Mattapoisett Harbor.
