Watch fireworks displays overhead while relaxing on your boat in the harbor.
The cruise is based on which towns are having fireworks and on what days. As of the time this listing was updated (2/1/2024), Marion’s plans were tentative and most other towns had not published their schedule. We will revise the schedule as more information becomes available.
The cruise will start in Marion on July TBD. Fireworks are scheduled for 9 PM (weather permitting). There are some spaces to anchor around Ram Island. You can also anchor further out towards Buzzards Bay between Converse Point and Butler Point. The Harbormaster is usually willing to provide suggestions.
July 4th will either be spent in New Bedford or Edgartown, depending on what is available on the 2nd and 3rd, and desires of the cruisers.
In New Bedford, you will need to get a mooring. You can get them well in advance and cancel with no penalty the day before if weather or plans change. Contact Dockwa.com for reservations at Pope Island Marina.
In Edgartown, you can anchor off the beach South of marker Red-8.
