Welcome to Mattapoisett Yacht Club Cruising Group. Our group is dedicated to members joining other members on all kinds of cruises throughout the Massachusetts and Rhode Island cruising areas. Cruises are rather free form; you are always free to join in at any point along the way or head off on your own when ever you wish. Join with other cruisers and you may find new interesting places to go, new things to see, and new sailing friends that you will enjoy hanging out with. If you have never cruised before, we'll be happy to help you get started.
This year we are making a special effort to reach out to power boaters. Cruising is much more about being in interesting places with interesting people, than how you got there.

Each individual cruise has an assigned Cruise Captain who is responsible for disseminating information to those who have expressed possible interest in participating and who is the clearinghouse for information passed between individual cruisers and the rest of the group. For questions about a specific cruise, contact that cruise's Cruise Captain.
Further details about each individual cruise can be obtained by clicking on the adjacent yellow cruise name on the left side of your screen.

Bassett Island cruise at Redbook Harbor leaving on Friday afternoon and returning on Sunday. Activities include gatherings in evenings at Bassett Island or Pocasset Landing and/or Chart Room in Cataumet. We would like to invite our Power Boat community and day-sailors to join us on Saturday for a one day get together. Of course, you can stay the whole weekend too!!

Fourth of July Cruise to Marion, New Bedford, and Edgartown. Join us for one night or two. The dates may change depending on date of fireworks in Marion.

Extended cruise to Maine. Harbors include Scituate or Marblehead, Kittery Maine, Portland ME, Vinalhaven, Camden and return through Kittery Maine, Gloucester, and Provincetown. Departure from each harbor will be based upon weather and cruise captain directives.
Cruise Captain: Carlos Join us for a day cruise to West Island, Fairhaven, MA. Meet on the East side beach for a gathering of fun and socializing !

Labor Day Cruise includes Cuttyhunk and Return Home. Social gathering and beach fire at Cuttyhunk is anticipated based upon weather.
