ANNUAL MEETING/aWARDS DINNER
October 1, 2022
The Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner is the final event of the sailing season. Traditionally
it is a festive evening that includes MYC business and recognition of sailing accomplishments
and volunteer activities on behalf of the Club.
2022 started out as a fresh new start after having had to adjust our social events in the previous 2 years.
However, it ended on the very sad fact of losing the MBY and MYC to a devastating fire.
We are all very hopeful that MBY along with MYC can come back from this fire even stronger than before.
Instead of the usual dinner affair, we are once again wanting to keep the event local and personal.
All members are invited to attend a late afternoon cocktail party under the tent on October 1st (rain date
October 2nd). The formal agenda includes reviews of the year's racing and cruising activities;
awards for the Club race series and the MYC-sponsored interclub races; and recognition of
individual contributors to the Club. The event concludes with MYC's Annual Meeting, at which
Flag Officers are elected for the coming year.
The tent will be set up at the Commodore's house, 7 Pico Beach Road, Mattapoisett.
The Club provides drinks. Contributions of appetizers are welcome.
