WEDNESDAY NIGHT SERIES are handicap races for PHRF cruising boats and for daysailers using the "Portsmouth Yardstick." Cruising boats must have a valid PHRF Certificate. Cruising boats are divided into two or more classes based on PHRF ratings. Racers gather at the club after the races for awards presentations, food & drink BYO.
The annual Skippers Meeting " To Be Announced" sets out plans for the season and updates racers on course and rules changes. Racing at MYC is as much a social affair as a competition, but racers are encouraged to protest when they observe violations to ensure that competitors know and follow racing rules. Racing is open to MYC members and non-members. The entry fee each series is $40 for members and $65 for non-members. Register through this web site.
