WEDNESDAY NIGHT SERIES are handicap races for PHRF cruising boats and for daysailers using the "Portsmouth Yardstick." Cruising boats must have a valid PHRF Certificate. Cruising boats are divided into two or more classes based on PHRF ratings. Racers gather at the club after the races for awards presentations, food & drink BYO.
**At the conclusion of the last July series race on July 25th there will be an informal awards presentation at the clubhouse. Free refreshments will be provided. BYOB. Racing is open to MYC members and non-members. The entry fee each series is $60 for members and $75 for non-members. Register through this web site. All levels of skill are invited; however a basic knowledge of the 2017 Racing Rules is necessary. Crew positions are often available; if interested please contact commodore@mattapoisettyc.org |
